Library / Food Trucks

I’m still so excited about everything there is to explore in Dallas! Today I walked from my building to the Dallas Public Library and explored floor 7 which had small exhibits for the upcoming JFK anniversary, a copy of the Declaration of Independence and a copy of one of the original Shakespear books. I also enjoyed looking at some line drawings of an artist that draws skylines of cities. While there, I renewed my library card! Oops, I have to remember to update my DL with my new address!!!

From the Library I cut up Akard street. I don’t know what it was about the walk on Akard between young street and jackson street but I loved the way the buildings were lined up old and new.

Once I got to Akard and Jackson street I ran across 4-5 Food Trucks that were service the ATT complex. What a great idea! I tried a Banh Mi vietnamese sandwich with Tofu and although I loved the idea of being able to order off the street like that I probably would not order that sandwich again. I would however try that same truck again.

Walking down Jackson street back towards my building, I discovered where the new Urban Market will be. The Market has not opened yet, but, there was a nice little liquor store open that will be a part of this market. The spirits store was very clean and with a nice layout. I will definitely return there. I thought the prices were fine. The Urban Market they are building supposedly will also have a restaurant in it so I’m curious to see what type of food they will provide!

I finally got back to my building while carrying my Banh Mi sandwich. Was a fun and pleasant outing and I can’t wait for my next one! Where will I go!
